My client is looking to recruit a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer to join their busy and expanding team in Wendover. They work on private and public financed projects mainly around the south-east of England, but also with key clients throughout Great Britain. They have good working relationships with a number of local architects, business professionals, and public sector clients in the locality, with a strong web presence. With 31 years of experience in the area, they are a well-respected practice with an emphasis on excellent customer care and innovative design solutions. They are looking to expand the practice and require high-quality engineers to fit into the existing organisation.
About the role
The candidate will have many years of experience spent working up to a senior level within a small to medium-sized practice, and have the experience in design but importantly existing skills and experience in undertaking forensic building defect surveys and report writing. The candidate must have a personality to communicate with staff and clients with a proven track record for business generation. Key responsibilities include:
1. Structural Inspection and report writing experience.
2. Self-motivated, confident, and hard-working with a drive to succeed.
3. Team player who can work alongside other engineers and independently on projects from start to finish.
4. Demonstrate accuracy, clear thinking, good presentation skills, and competence in work.
Progression
This company offers an amazing opportunity for progression. If the candidate demonstrates excellent performance, they can expect to join at Associate Director level, taking on support roles that will include nurturing graduate engineers to become Chartered and provide support to the Directors in the running of the practice. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity to become a full Director for the right candidate.
