Overview
The PAT Tester is essential in promoting safety and regulatory compliance for electrical appliances across diverse environments. This role involves performing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to detect any potential electrical hazards, ensuring all equipment adheres to established safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail and a dedication to quality assurance, supporting the reliability and safety of electrical devices.
Duties
• Conduct comprehensive PAT inspections on various electrical appliances to ensure they meet safety regulations.
• Analyse test results, document findings with accuracy, and provide detailed reports on each appliance’s condition.
• Identify faults or issues during testing and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain testing equipment in optimal condition
• Collaborate with team members to enhance safety measures and refine testing procedures.
• Stay informed on current legislation and best practices in electrical safety standards.
Skills
• Strong grasp of quality assurance processes specific to electrical testing.
• Proficient in analysing data to make informed decisions based on test results.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for accurate reporting.

• Self employed basis
• C&G 2377 qualification (will be beneficial but not required)
• In house training provided
• Full testing equipment provided- (to be disgust at interview)
• Uniform provided
• Own vehicle and full driving license needed
• Home based engineer
• Must be willing to travel and work away quite a lot

Pay: £18,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
