TXM Recruit are working with a client partner to recruit a 6 month fixed term HSEQ Advisor at their production facility in Crewe.
Job Description
Work on a range of health and safety topics across the depots including COSHH, manual handling, DSEAR, risk assessments etc. Provide support and guidance to all depots.
1. Write, review, and provide input to HSEQ policies, procedures, and other documentation such as controlled forms.
2. Write, review, and provide input to risk assessment / working instruction production - liaise with / support relevant colleagues.
3. Provide key health and safety knowledge to all employees / departments.
4. Support the HSE champions.
5. Contribute to the upkeep of the DAPs.
6. Attend and contribute to HSEQ team meetings.
7. Support the continual development of the IMS.
8. Support legionella management.
9. Support the whole HSEQ function (including the HSEQ system analyst function) - be able to flex between roles where required.
10. Support in the development of the digitisation of HSEQ forms / processes.
11. Attend and contribute to project meetings where required.
12. Visit ATC depots on a regular basis to provide support and guidance.
13. Perform internal HSEQ audits / inspections / depot tours & support external audits.
14. Update various trackers where necessary (including but not limited to CAPA, HAZID logs etc).
15. Support accident and incident investigation.
16. Liaise with external health, safety or environmental related contractors where necessary.
17. Use Sypol for COSHH management.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Health and safety - NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
2. Safety and environmental legal knowledge.
3. NEBOSH Environmental certificate or equivalent.
4. Experience with / trained to internal auditor for ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001, RM3.
5. Cultural improvement experience.
6. Risk assessment experience.
7. COSHH experience.
8. Legionella management experience.
9. Experience handling accident and incident investigation.
10. A full and valid driving licence is essential.
11. Be prepared to travel to other rail depots throughout the country with the occasional overnight stay (where required).
12. Knowledge and experience of fire risk assessments desirable.
13. Knowledge and experience of the rail industry desirable but not essential.
14. Strong influencing and coaching skills.
