The Post This is an exciting opportunity to support the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) deliver on some of Brent’s key priorities for its children and young people. With guidance and supervision from EPs, you will be responsible for devising, delivering and evaluating training to a range of professionals. The post holder will work creatively to apply psychology across a range of project work within the EPS and the wider Inclusion Service. You will be responsible for drawing up project specifications and plans, delivering to defined timeframes and gathering and analysing data. You will work with learners, parents and colleagues in schools on project work and a range of activities involving individual and/or groups of children and young people. You will support key administrative functions of the EPS and wider department, including decision making panels, team meetings and case allocations. The Person Candidates must have: • a good honours degree in psychology, which provides a graduate basis for registration of the British Psychological Society • knowledge of and interest in developmental psychology, key issues affecting staff in schools/educational settings and the landscape in respect of Special Educational Needs • relevant post-graduate experience working with children and young people (e.g. in an educational setting) • ability to work dynamically and flexibly with a range of adults and children and have excellent written and communication skills • the ability to initiate and progress project work and other initiatives independently • excellent ICT and data analysis skills.
