Temporary for 12 months.
We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

As part of North Ayrshire Council’s Modern Apprentice Recruitment Process, if you are chosen as a Preferred Candidate following the interview, you must complete a 1-week pre-employment Course with one of our Employability Partners before being issued with a Conditional Offer of Employment.
The qualification to be achieved on completion of the Modern Apprenticeship is SCQF5.
Modern Apprenticeship posts are open to all North Ayrshire Residents aged 16-19 years old at commencement of employment.
This post is based within Customer Services, providing administrative support, including managing emails, filing, answering queries, and data entry, using software packages such as Microsoft 365. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Our Workstyles
North Ayrshire Council has identified four different Workstyles. Each post in the council has been allocated one of these styles:
In Building – More than 90% of time spent primarily at a single base or location. This post has been allocated the workstyle: In Building.
For further information on what the course will entail and the training allowance, details will be emailed to you by the Employability & Skills Team after the interview.
When shortlisting job applicants seeking a Modern Apprenticeship with the Council, priority will be given to those who are currently unemployed, followed by applicants who are already in work and seeking to develop their careers.
