Work alongside the General Manager in the organising, planning and day-to-day operations of the pub. Deputise for the General Manager when on leave, overseeing back of house and front of house operations and communication with frontline team members and senior management. Follow best practices, lead by example, and create a positive customer experience.
Oversight of day-to-day operations, working with the Head Chef to deliver an excellent customer dining experience. Lead from the front with team members to achieve company goals.
Recruit, develop, retain, and promote high calibre team members, supervising performance and ensuring productivity and smooth workflow. Think on your feet to resolve issues and come up with innovative solutions.
Take ownership of issues, manage to resolution, and create business plans to support company financial objectives. Have commercial awareness, understanding of the market place, and nurture this for success in a competitive market.
Monitor and control stock levels for optimum yield and budgeted gross profit margins. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including licensing, health and safety, fire safety, COSHH, and local authorities.
Possess a genuine passion for creating memories and delivering incredible hospitality. Focus on detail, have a common sense approach, and surprise and delight customers.
Build and nurture trust with team and customers, take ownership of issues, and manage to successful resolution. Enforce and maintain high standards, even under pressure. Excellent organisation and communication skills, great attention to detail, and understanding of customer needs and marketplace trends.
Hold a personal licence, possess health and safety and food hygiene knowledge, and have relevant previous experience of supervising within hospitality.
