About the Role
NVQ or any other qualification or previous experience in Carpentry and Joinery would be advantageous.
Ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards and specifications, with a strong focus on precision and attention to detail.
Checking finished products to ensure they meet client requirements and correcting any imperfections.
Assembling wooden structures using various joining techniques, such as dovetail, mortise and tenon, or dowel joints, to ensure durability and strength.
Fitting and joining pre-made pieces for construction projects, ensuring tight fits and a high-quality finish.
Understanding architectural blueprints, detailed joinery plans, and technical specifications to create accurate wooden components.About the Candidate
Excellent joinery experience
Ability to work with high-end materials to construct furniture and other bespoke products
Experience in a wood workshop is preferred, but not essential
Should possess an understanding of woodworking machinery such as a panel saw, spindle moulder, sander and other hand tools
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and understand drawings
Ability to measure accurately
Must be tidy and organised and keep work area well maintained
Self-motivated with a can-do attitudePoints of Appeal
