Senior Systems Safety EngineerLocation: remote (potential site visits)Salary: £45-60kLevel of experience: 5-10 years however, candidates with all levels of experience are welcome to apply.Reporting to the Technical Director; This role provides a fantastic career opportunity, whilst developing your skills and experience under the guidance and mentorship of our senior team. You will be able to work across a range of activities at various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle. You will thrive on doing something different every day and be comfortable with ambiguity.

You will be a good communicator at all levels, able to understand and decompose complexity and present it in simple terms.The role:Provide a range of technical consulting services and innovative solutions to clients across the Systems Safety Assurance Engineering disciplineProviding safety advice across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition through to commissioning of safety critical and high reliability systems, including,Interpreting and applying relevant standards in engineering delivery projects (e.g., AREMA, CSM-RA, CENELEC, ISO/IEC, IEEE)Independently perform the Validator Role as per CENELEC EN5012x for company projectsSupport and lead tender submissions in conjunction with internal stakeholders whilst identifying commercial opportunities with clientsProvide continual subject matter expertise to ensure exceptional client relationships are maintained.Providing Consultancy Services in Transportation, Utilities & Energy and Defence & Security sectors throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, the client is a progressive and flexible company, offering the opportunity to work from home, business needs permitting. Travel may be required to project and client offices with occasional overnight stays or longer-term secondments.
This may include opportunities for working overseas.Experience & skills:Qualifications:A minimum of a technical Degree, equivalent qualification or experience Corporate membership with an appropriate professional institution (e.g. INCOSE, SaRS, IET, IMechE).Professional qualified or working towards professional qualification (e.g. IEng/CEng)INCOSE recognised status, e.g.
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).Experience:Broad experience of Systems Safety Assurance activities in a complex, safety focused and regulated organisation with multiple complex interfaces. Ideally in rail (e.g. heavy, metro or light) or a similar regulated environment (e.g.
aerospace or nuclear)Comfortable with, and demonstrable experience of, resolving ambiguity in task, system safety and safety requirements definitionAble to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholdersDelivery focused with an enthusiasm to make a positive differenceDemonstrable experience of change management, rapidly adapting to emerging requirements, changing circumstances and high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-changing environmentFormal Project Management experience.Skills:Significant experience in applying safety in design and system safety assurance practices and processes in line with CSM-RA, CENELEC EN5012x and ISO15288Knowledge of systems engineering, human factors, resilience engineering and/or asset management, including,Requirements capture, analysis and managementVerification and validationInterface identification, control, and managementSystems architecture developmentSystems migration planningMBSE tools, such as SPARX Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rational Rhapsody Architect, Capella or other similar.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
