Fleet and Driver Management - Allocating 100% of the daily plan to drivers and loads. - Updating and executing the daily plan, including system updates. - Maximizing drivers' working hours in line with Tachograph and WTD regulations. - Determining the number of vehicles needed for shipments. - Communicating unavoidable issues or failures to relevant customers, including after-hours updates. - Proactively managing the fleet, including replanning in response to issues with loads or drivers. - Briefing and debriefing drivers on daily plans. - Collaborating with driver debrief administrators for seamless operations. - Ensuring thorough handovers to the next shifts transport operators. - Participating in daily operational meetings to provide timely updates on plans. - Working closely with planners to meet customer requirements. - Calculating delivery costs and monitoring daily revenue. - Reviewing load plans and developing contingency strategies when necessary. - Recording all job movements in relevant systems. - Reporting concerns to the Head of Transport. - Collaborating with other transport operators across shifts. - Addressing delivery concerns with other teams and proposing solutions. Systems Management - Input driver and vehicle information into Road Runner for the upcoming 24 hours. - Update Road Runner with real-time load information during driver debriefs. - Monitor the warehouse management system to anticipate potential load issues. Cost Control - Aim to minimize overtime, overnight stays, and demurrage while reducing agency labor through effective planning. Customer Service - Handle phone inquiries professionally, addressing field and customer questions. - Communicate with drivers to understand their challenges and offer planning resolutions. - Maintain a professional demeanor as a representative of Knowles Logistics.
