Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity of Research Delivery Team Lead has become available at the Clinical Research Team at The Royal Oldham Hospital - part of the Northern Care Alliance.
The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and management of the clinical research team overseeing recruitment to clinical trials. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that all research undertaken safeguards the wellbeing of the patients and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research.
In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, you will oversee the production of good quality research and be responsible for ensuring that clinical trials run to the appropriate milestones and targets.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Lead in the management of research studies, protocols and procedures.
2. Work to ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all clinical interventions.
3. Identify strategies for recruiting participants into clinical trials and provide leadership and support to team in implementing these strategies, ensuring that targets for patient recruitment are achieved.
4. Ensure timely and robust completion of expressions of interest for potential clinical trials.
5. Oversee remunerations for the clinical trial activity working closely with the R&I finance manager.
6. Demonstrate in depth knowledge and understanding of all clinical research interventions and procedures.
7. Demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodology and design applying evidence-based research findings to professional practice in the speciality.
8. Act as a primary contact point for the clinical trial patients and other health care professionals caring for the patient.
9. Adhere to ICH/GCP, NMC code of conduct/ HCPC Code of Conduct/NIHR CRP scope of practice oversee that of others.
10. Maintain relevant professional registration.
11. Act as a role model, inspiring others with one's own values and vision in line with Trust values and behaviours.
12. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of care and employment issues.

* Registered Nurse at diploma level or above (if Nurse) / HCPC practitioner (if HCPC) / NIHR CRP accredited (or working towards)

Experience Essential
* MSc in Health care field or MSc in Leadership or equivalent level of experience
