A Secondary School in South Bristol is seeking an imaginative English Teacher who will support lessons in music and art. This role is a combination of creative subjects, allowing you to showcase your creative side in the classroom!
Whether you’re an experienced educator, an ECT, or an experienced cover supervisor, the school welcomes your enthusiasm and perspective. This is an opportunity for a teacher or cover supervisor who has experience with SEN students and for those who have taught functional skills or BTEC subjects.
The role:
1. Class sizes of 10-12 with Learning Support Mentors and Learning Support Assistants in the classes to help.
2. Opportunity to initially work with Teaching Personnel, with potential for a permanent school contract.
3. Ensure the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning as the children have SEN needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, and ASC.
4. No behavioral challenges but requires experience with SEN due to the students' needs.
5. Delivering lessons based on subjects of English, Music, Art, and some IT.
6. Plan, mark, and assess the work of students. PAID TO SCALE weekly.
The School:
1. Offers an excellently resourced curriculum.
2. Supports Specific Learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, and ASC. All students have ECHPs.
3. Has a record of considerable academic success.
4. Regularly offers opportunities for career progression for the right candidate as a contract with the school can be arranged.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Holds QTS Status.
2. Has the ability to promote high-quality teaching and learning.
3. Can support in the elevation of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment, and behavior through working effectively and collaboratively with the school.
4. Has experience working with KS3 and KS4. Experience teaching Functional skills is also welcomed.
