This role’s focus is predominantly on planning, pitching, producing and delivering co-branded and white label commercial events. This includes working across Dazed, Dazed Beauty, AnOther Magazine, Nowness and Dazed Studio event briefs and series. The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for keeping their ear to the ground when it comes to youth culture, with a great knowledge of what’s happening across the creative industries, can spot a trend ahead of the curve and loves people. They should be personable with good industry wide relationships, especially with fashion, beauty and sportswear brands; production partners and KOLs especially across music. The role requires the ability to work across multiple client projects managing timelines and budgets under pressure. This role requires active reporting on trends and insights, and forward planning and strategy to obtain ambitious results. Duties & responsibilities Manage, concept, produce and programme Dazed Studio events - both co-branded and white label Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create marketing moments for Dazed Media brands from commercial projects Manage client event budgets Manage third party event production suppliers including freelance producers Book event talent and manage riders and invoices Identify and maintain relationships with any new DJs / performers that appeal to target 18-24 audience Identify new venues including new restaurants, clubs, bars and studios and organise site recces keeping ahead of the curve News - identify any event related news and trends and share with marketing, execs and commercial teams where relevant Manage our global supplier databases - including venues, AV companies, props hire, security, FB providers, florists, freelance producers Maintaining strong relationships with talent direct, music labels, model agencies, managers Manage an annual marketing and events calendar for Dazed Media / Dazed Studio events including events log Create trend reports, forecasts and event marketing strategies to support this annual calendar Present event reports and future forecasts to commercial and partnerships team Manage the creation of Dazed Events sales tools - including decks / website / hub Develop proactive pitches with the wider team to pitch to brands Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to manage audience sign ups / guest list capacities / audience experience working with third-party press and partners to drive event sign ups where necessary Work closely with Marketing and Communications Manager to coordinate with advertising, media ops, editorial and social teams on all events related communications Work closely with Marketing and Communications Manager to create event access/ opportunities for Dazed Club members Scheduling and managing quarterly B2B series Broadcasts from Tomorrow working closely with event series host - Dazed Studio Strategy Director to secure co-host and speakers Manage Marketing Assistant and work closely with partnerships team to send out BFT reports to existing and potential clients alongside trade press and industry Manage event listings on Dazed Live - the Dazed app Desired Skills & Experience: Mailchimp, Klayvio, Keynote and Excel Digital and social platforms including : Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube Excellent written and verbal skills Extremely organised with an ability to project manage complex production schedules and multi-channel communication strategies Strong creative industry relationships Arbiter of Dazed Media’s internal culture and brand values These duties and responsibilities are indicative and not exhaustive but serve to give a realistic overview of the role and requirements.
