Take the next step in your veterinary career with us at Kingston Vets
We are seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to lead our Small Animal Department across two sites (Sherborne and Yeovil). As Lead Vet, you'll help lead a team of vets and nurses, manage operations, and enjoy clinical freedom with a diverse caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to the success of the practice.
Work life balance that tips the scale
Our flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. We would welcome both full time and part time applicants. Typically, the full-time position is working 40 hours across 4 days per week, with no OOH and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings but we are open to discussion.
Lead our long-standing team
You will be welcomed by a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVNs, Trainee Nurse and a support team of 13. We are committed to offering development and training to each individual within our team to encourage self-development and future opportunity within the business. Across the sites, we have 2 certificate holders, and we specialise in Laparoscopic spays. We hold regular events for team-building purposes and support local charities, events and shows, and we hold regular meetings for the farming community. Ultimately, our culture is built around flexibility, diversity, and celebrating success – both inside and outside of work.
Our exceptional practice- Newly Refurbished

Additionally, we have in-house lab testing facilities to support your work.
