Job Title: Primary School Sports Coach
Location: Blackpool, FY1
Job Type: Full-time, temp-perm, 08:45 – 16:00, September start (Opportunity to start ASAP)
Salary: GBP100-GBP120/day, depending on experience
Here at Prospero Teaching we are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school committed to providing a high-quality education to all their students. Who believe in the importance of physical education (PE) and sports in the holistic development of their students. As such, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Primary School Sports Coach.
The school are looking for a passionate individual to support their PE program and assist in the delivery of high-quality physical education lessons to their students. The successful candidate will work closely with PE teachers to inspire and motivate students to engage in physical activity and develop their skills across a range of sports.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and delivering PE lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and cater to the varying abilities of the students.
Support the PE teachers in setting up equipment and resources for lessons and sports activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance in developing their physical skills.
Organise and supervise sports events, tournaments, and intra-school competitions.
Promote a positive and supportive environment that encourages students to participate in physical activity and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to promote the importance of physical education and sports in the overall development of students.
Requirements:
A passion for working with children and promoting physical activity and sports.
Experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a sports coaching or educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Knowledge of a variety of sports and the ability to adapt activities to suit different age groups and skill levels.
Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field are desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall ethos of the school.
