Key responsibilities:
* Prepares for and assists during various diagnostic procedures across Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density, and the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit.
* Provides comprehensive care and monitoring pre, peri, and post-procedure in the prep/recovery unit, including management of sedated or anesthetized patients post-procedure.
* Understands the pharmacology of medications and contrast media used in Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Cardiac Diagnostic Unit (CDU), recognizing special considerations during procedures.
* Develops and maintains inventory of necessary supplies, including pharmaceuticals and patient care/procedural supplies.
* Utilizes expertise in Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging, and Cardiac Diagnostic procedures to plan patient care within the department and hospital environment.
* Provides relevant health education and procedural teaching to patients, caregivers, and professional colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.
What do you need?
* Five years as a Registered Nurse.
* Two years as an Emergency/Critical Care Nurse.
* Three years in Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
* Two years of experience in Intravenous (IV) Therapy.
* Critical Care Certificate.
* Basic Life Support (BLS).
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
* IV Therapy Certification.
