Job Summary
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing robust sales strategies, leading and motivating a high-performing team, and managing key customer relationships to achieve revenue targets. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, balancing new customer acquisition with existing account growth, and implementing processes that enhance efficiency and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, industry knowledge in machining or cutting tools, and managing a sales team with a structured, results-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Exactaform’s business objectives.
2. Drive revenue growth across new and existing accounts, ensuring consistent profitability.
3. Work closely with the Technical Manager to enhance proposal conversion rates and sales performance.
4. Foster a customer-first approach, recognizing it as a key competitive advantage.
5. Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing sales team through structured training and mentorship.
6. Establish a results-driven, collaborative team culture with clear performance expectations.
7. Conduct regular sales meetings, including weekly check-ins, pipeline reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
8. Maintain ownership of an accurate sales pipeline, tracking performance against targets.
9. Drive margin growth by balancing competitive pricing strategies with customer retention.
10. Oversee and optimize the sales department’s budget, identifying profit-enhancing and cost-saving opportunities.
11. Work closely with finance and senior management to forecast sales performance and financial impact.
12. Engage in direct customer interactions initially, transitioning to a structured, team-led model over time.
13. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key accounts to enhance Exactaform’s market offering.
14. Promote cross-functional collaboration within the organization to deliver seamless customer solutions.
15. Maximize the use of CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent) to enhance team productivity and data-driven decision-making.
16. Ensure the accuracy of sales performance tracking, KPIs, and forecasting reports for senior leadership.
Skills & Experience
1. Proven track record of successful sales leadership, preferably within the machining or cutting tool industries.
2. Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset with a results-driven approach to sales management.
3. Excellent people management skills, with experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
4. Strong understanding of technical sales and customer relationship management.
5. Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis for performance tracking.
6. Previous management experience (leadership training available).
7. Technical background in cutting tools, machining, or manufacturing processes.
8. Experience in budget management, forecasting, and financial planning.
9. Hands-on experience in implementing sales process automation and CRM enhancements.
