About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager, with a passion for IT, to join our growing Product team.
This pivotal role requires a balance of commercial acumen, diligence and strong negotiation capabilities to ensure we maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
You will drive growth and profitability by aligning our business strategy with market opportunities and customer needs. Working closely with Product & Technology, Project Management Office (PMO), Finance, Sales and Solutions teams, you will ensure our services remain competitive, high-quality, and aligned with our vision.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support the development and commercialisation of our key product offerings with competitive pricing strategies and identify areas for growth & commercial innovation.
2. Strengthen strategic partnerships with our vendors to maximise lead generation, supplier pricing, and benefits through regular communication, joint initiatives, partner programs, and business reviews.
3. Track and report on MDF (Market Development Funds) and rebate activities.
4. Negotiate vendor pricing and contracts, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes.
5. Review high-value won quotes for technical and commercial accuracy, ensuring valid costs, manageable risks, and alignment with profitability goals.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and ensure the standardisation of contracts and pricing structures.
Your skills and experience:
1. Proven experience in a similar role, with an understanding of the Managed Services Provider (MSP) industry.
2. A strong commercial understanding, including financial principles, pricing strategies, and profitability drivers.
3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Experience in building and managing strategic vendors and partnerships.
5. Able to work in a fast-paced and agile commercial enterprise.
6. An understanding of IT solutions within the wider market.

What we offer

Location and working arrangements
You will be based at our Gateshead Head Office with travel as required.
Hours of work
Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

Interview process
