Test Technician
Location: Preston PR5
Salary: £24,500 + excellent benefits
Salary dependent on relevant experience.
Full time/ Permanent (37 hours per week)
Remarkable Jobs is recruiting for a Test Technician on behalf of a leading consultancy in the construction and building services industry.
Test Technician Role:
As a Test Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in the testing and calibration of instruments, you’ll be a part of a skilled team committed to delivering excellence, ensuring equipment is ready to meet client demand to the highest standard.
Test Technician Key Responsibilities:
Perform traceable & UKAS accredited calibrations, and test building services components.
Install, manage and handle customers' kit and test samples, items and instrumentation.
Calibrate and maintain reference apparatus.
Prepare and pack instruments prior to hire and process stock returns.
Liaise with customers and internal colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Test Technician Experience & Skills:
Knowledge of the fields of air flow, temperature and pressure is a significant advantage.
Experience of working in a test environment or calibration laboratory.
Understanding of health and safety compliance and quality assurance standards.
PC literate with proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word).
Good numeracy and administrative skills, with experience using in-house systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a team with a flexible approach.
Test Technician Qualification(s) Required:
Recognised qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant experience.
