Job Description
The Governing Body of Deri Primary School is looking to employ an enthusiastic, committed, and hard-working Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work mainly within the current Yr 2/3 and 4 class and support with ALN pupils.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a dynamic Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant to support learning in the school. Candidates will be required to have NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
The Teaching Assistant will be required to work under the guidance and supervision of the Teaching and Senior Staff to implement agreed programmes of work.
The postholder will be expected to support class teachers with assessment procedures and behaviour management.
There will be a focus on working as a member of our strong school team, encouraging positive behaviour in our children and assisting them in achieving high standards.
The postholder may be expected to lead a Read, Write, Inc group and ensure resources are readied and work marked to a high standard.
The postholder will be expected to have good skills in ICT, literacy, and maths.
An ability to be well-organised and work efficiently and pro-actively is essential.
An enthusiasm and willingness to support in after-school activities is also encouraged.
Contract Details
The post is Fixed Term, Part-time, Term Time Only 28.75 hours, to begin ASAP and end on Friday 11th April 2025. This post will be reviewed in March 2025 to finalise funding for the next financial year as this post could be sustained.
