Senior Financial Controller / Merseyside / Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 competitive benefits package. Accountable Recruitment are working in partnership with our client who are a large, successful and growing organisation - who have a great reputation as a market leader within their sector Currently undergoing significant transformation, they are now seeking a highly experienced and proven, strategic Senior Financial Controller to join their growing business. As an experienced Senior Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of driving financial excellence and commercial performance across your business. Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director, you will be integral to overseeing financial reporting and driving commercial impact across this large and growing business. In this role you will also be involved in on-going large-scale transformation projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system. Key responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Planning - lead the financial planning process for the division, setting long-term financial goals in alignment with overall business strategy. Collaborate with divisional leadership to create strategic business plans, ensuring financial stability and growth. Commercial Business Partnering - act as a strategic business partner to divisional leaders, driving financial performance. Identifying opportunities for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimisation within the division. Financial Reporting & Analysis: - Oversee the preparation and presentation of divisional financial reports, providing accurate insights into P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet performance.Develop and present financial performance dashboards to senior management. Budgeting & Forecasting: - lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the division. Performance Management - Monitor KPIs across the division, linking financial metrics to operational performance. Implement performance improvement strategies, working closely with operations to enhance profitability. Cost Control & Efficiency - Implement robust financial controls. Leadership & Team Development - Lead, mentor, and develop the divisional finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with group finance, executive management, and operational teams to ensure the division meets financial objectives. Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to the board and senior leadership team to influence decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors. Key skills: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. Strong track record and experience working a Senior Financial Controller / Divisional FD, within a large business. Driving performance within a fast-paced, operational business. Proven leadership skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain and present complex financial data. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
