Job Description:
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the Electrical Design team, leveraging your technical knowledge and experience to produce customized, customer-centric designs. Under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, you will work on hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical system designs using advanced CAD tools. You will play a significant role in various projects, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Innovative Design: Apply technical knowledge to design and develop customized solutions.
2. Engineering Tasks: Conduct electrical engineering design, analysis, testing, and validation.
3. Project Leadership: Plan and lead small to medium-sized projects with some supervision.
4. Budget Management: Prepare cost estimates and ensure designs are completed within budget.
5. Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: Produce efficient designs, reusing existing components where practical.
6. Documentation: Prepare and check engineering documents, including drawings, manuals, reports, and calculations.
7. Client Interaction: Participate in internal sales contract reviews and design review meetings.
8. Compliance: Ensure deliverables meet client and contract requirements.
9. Testing: Develop and participate in test programs and factory acceptance tests to validate designs.
10. Engineering Support: Contribute to the investigation, resolution, and documentation of engineering queries.
11. Travel: Travel as required by project needs (worldwide travel) for client meetings, site installation, commissioning, testing, and related activities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
12. Degree Level or similar in Electrical or related Engineering field.
13. Working knowledge of Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical.
14. Experience in a similar position.
15. Design and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
16. Working knowledge within a manufacturing environment.
17. Understanding of engineering documents and drawings.
18. Working knowledge of ISO9001.
19. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desirable:
20. Experience leading electrical design projects within multi-disciplinary teams.
21. Experience in the Energy Industry, specifically Wireline Intervention and completion methods.
22. Knowledge of wireline winches, masts, and associated product designs.
23. Experience preparing technical files complying with European Regulations.
24. Working knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM/PDM data systems.
25. Familiarity with design codes: IEC Standards, EU Directives and CE Marking, ATEX, IECEx, Norsok.
