SEN Teaching Assistant Retford Earn up to £550 per week, pay is dependent on qualifications and most recent experience About the Role: Connex Education are currently working very closely with a great school in Newark who will be looking for a higher level teaching assistant to join the team, supporting a SEN pupil. Experience with ADHD and challenging behaviour is highly desirable for this post. Assignment Details: For this role we are looking for staff who can start in January and commit until July as a minimum, potentially longer due to the pupils time extending in school. Person Specification: Have some experience working with young people with SEND in either a school setting or a similar environment Be confident in your ability to support students with varied needs and/or challenging behaviours Hold strong communication skills both orally and written. Able to follow EHCP and care/learning plans effectively if needed too (not essential) Willing to undergo continual professional training. Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’ Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour.
