Salary range £42K - £50K Hours: Monday - Friday 8am/8:30am start but can be flexible Location: Chelmsford, London About the role: As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be working at a pediatric school in Chelmsford with children 5-14 years to support their social, emotional, behavioural and educational development. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: Plan, resource & prepare effective and engaging therapy programmes for children Deliver whole-staff therapeutic training Adopt a capacity building approach whereby the aim of intervention is to equip staff with the skills to effectively facilitate the development of pupils’ communication skills Assist in determining the communicative function of a behaviour and to develop/target goals that will reduce challenging behaviour by providing pupils with a more effective means of communicating Establish functional goals that promote meaningful participation and increased independence Develop, facilitate and monitor the implementation of whole class intervention programs Complete termly therapy reports on children’s progress in individual and group therapy sessions What’s in it for you as a Speech and Language Therapist: An opportunity to be part of a unique, seamless therapeutic team model.
