Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Attendance Officer at St Thomas a Becket Catholic Secondary School, part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust.
The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools. We're looking for motivated and committed person with excellent communication skills to join our welcoming staff team. The successful candidate will provide an attendance officer service for school, children and families. Working in conjunction with outside agencies, senior leaders and the pastoral team to ensure that children receive education that is appropriate to their needs by regular attendance at school or otherwise.
They will work within the school’s policies and procedures, as well as following Safeguarding legislation to monitor, track, investigate and follow up absence from school and, where necessary, exploring statutory duties of legal action. The successful candidate will have knowledge of DfE policies, safeguarding procedures and the CAF. They will also have experience of working in a Multi Agency approach.
