Job Title: Content Writer – Course Development (Health & Social Care)

Salary: £35k (dependent on experience)
About the Role
Think Tank Academy, the training arm of a leading national provider in the care and support sector, is seeking an experienced and driven Content Writer to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping engaging, educational, and high-quality online courses for the Health and Social Care sector, including topics related to Ofsted, CQC and regulatory frameworks. You will bring knowledge, structure and creativity to course writing that empowers trainers and supports CPD-accredited, reflective learning.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
* Research, write, and structure course content for online and virtual delivery across a range of Health and Social Care topics.
* Convert complex regulatory frameworks and policies (e.g. Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 & Quality Standards, The Care Act 2014, PREVENT, Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk, The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005) into digestible, practical training for front-line professionals.
* Ensure course materials align with CPD standards and meet QA benchmarks for accuracy, readability, and learner engagement.
* Integrate references to sector-relevant policies and procedures, including Triaxx systems, children’s services, adult supported accommodation, and regulatory guidance.
* Apply best practices in learning design, tone of voice and content presentation to engage diverse learner audiences.
* Build in content review points and embed model links, policy references and case study examples.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes (CQC, Ofsted, etc.) to ensure course content is always relevant and compliant.
* Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and the QA team to ensure accuracy, coherence, and alignment with Think Tank Academy's mission.
* Option to deliver or co-deliver courses (virtual or in-person) if desired, based on training experience.
* Build a model across the course content of therapeutic interventions or resources
* Delivery of course content, providing training sessions for inductions and staff refresher training
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience writing course content, ideally in the Health & Social Care, Education, or Regulatory Compliance sectors.
* Strong research and analytical skills with an ability to interpret policy and regulation into impactful learning.
* A methodical, structured approach to writing with a keen eye for accuracy, depth and presentation.
* Understanding of CPD accreditation, BILD (an advantage), quality control and training delivery requirements.
* Background or understanding of educational approaches, health and social care frameworks, and adult learning methodologies.
* Confident in using and referencing systems like Trixx, and good understanding of safeguarding, PREVENT and similar government-led models.
