Job Description:
Our client, one of the leading care providers in Cornwall are seeking Domiciliary care staff to support within the community, across the West of Cornwall.
We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced care staff who are looking to work in a person-centred way to best support service-users within their communities.
We offer flexible hours, do as many or as little as you wish – either full time or part time hours alongside other commitments.
The Role:
1. £12 - £15 an hour dependent on shift time
2. 40p per mile
3. Flexible shift patterns: 7am – 2pm, 4pm – 8pm, 5pm – 10pm
4. Full time or part time hours available
5. Weekly pay
6. Accrue Holiday pay
7. Driving licence is essential for this role
8. Manual handling and medication training is also essential
9. 3 Months experience working within the healthcare sector in the UK (essential).
Key Duties:
10. Supporting Vulnerable adults within their own homes – covering the West of Cornwall
11. Provide personalised support to individuals living within the community
12. Ensure people are provided with care that is safe, responsive, effective, compassionate and high-quality
13. Work in a person-centred way that is based on the principles of increasing independence and encouraging self-care as far as possible
14. Monitor and accurately record the health, wellbeing and progress of service users and report any concerns/changes back to management in order to protect and safeguard
About you:
15. Due to the nature of the role, a driving licence is essential
16. Some experience in supporting vulnerable adults
17. Some experience of encouraging and motivating others to achieve independence where possible
18. Awareness of physical, emotional and mental health issues affecting vulnerable adults
19. Self-motivated, with an ability to organise own schedule and work to deadlines
