Cook (Ipswich Campus)
37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (working 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary is £23,559 per annum pro rata, plus an enhancement in lieu of annual leave* (Working 37 hours a week, for 40 weeks per year this equated to £20,875.13 per annum)
With experience working in a school, college, or commercial catering environment, you will be responsible for day-to-day food preparation and service at our Ipswich Campus, providing breakfast, lunch and snacks for learners and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Food preparation and cooking while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
The successful candidate must hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining one.
Health & Safety Responsibilities: As part of your role, you will contribute to the wider College health and safety initiatives. A good understanding of health and safety regulations is essential, and you should be prepared to undertake training in areas such as first aid and fire marshal duties.
This role is based at Suffolk New College, Ipswich, but as a multi-campus college, you may be required to work at and travel between different sites as needed.
