The School of Informatics is seeking to recruit a Business Development and Programme Manager for one of our major business partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, promoting, and delivering key programmes.
The Opportunity:
The post holder will act as a passionate and energetic spokesperson who can engage and excite the partner about the University’s innovation, maximizing opportunities and setting clear expectations on both sides while working to the highest standards of integrity.
This role will involve taking a lead, in consultation with School senior management, to manage the School’s relationship with the partner’s senior executives.
The Business Development and Programme Manager will provide project management services for projects, including the effective management of input from colleagues and suppliers, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully with respect to budgets, specified outputs, and timescales.
This post is responsible for prioritizing, allocating, and reporting on funds within overarching funding agreements, including defining and applying criteria for awards, coordinating implementation, and management of awards.
The post-holder will perform against assigned quarterly targets while prioritizing and delivering an outstanding experience to the business partner.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for two years. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
* Educated to degree standard in an appropriate discipline and/or equivalent experience.
* Significant relevant experience in higher education in an administrative or project management role, including account and client relationship management experience.
* Strong interpersonal skills; good communicator with excellent verbal and written communication.
* Good project management skills and experience in successfully overseeing multiple projects.
* Experience of dealing with budgets and creation or interpretation of financial reports.
* Able to develop, maintain, and grow influential relationships with key stakeholders.
