How you’ll change it up
As our Senior IP Capacity Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering the active service portfolio, including system and network administration and project management. Your core focus areas will include design and delivery, operational monitoring, and operational management. Your daily tasks will include:
* Modelling and monitoring new active city networks
* Identifying and expanding existing networks as needed
* Delivering forecasts for all network components across short, medium, and long-term horizons
* Improving network capacity monitoring and operational excellence through automation and AI
* Building and managing vendor relationships to secure reliable supply chains
What you’ll bring to the role
You should have a solid understanding of platform monitoring, coupled with excellent analytical and numerical skills. Additionally, you will bring:
* Good understanding of IP routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and ISIS
* Knowledge of MPLS, LDP, and RSVP
* Experience with Layer 2 technologies, especially Ethernet
* Experience in backplane capacity and ISP 95th percentile reporting
* Knowledge of rack space and power allowances
* Experience developing bespoke capacity planning tools
