Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our Neighbourhoods?
We are currently recruiting for a Community Safety Officer to join our friendly and supportive Localities and Community Safety team. From day one, you will be part of a well-respected and supportive team. You will also have the flexibility to control your own working day, and you will work on a variety of different cases across our Platform localities in the Midlands.
What you could be doing as one of our Community Safety Officers;
The Community Safety Officer will be responsible for preparing legal documents and gathering evidence for court proceedings. In doing so, you will check that all processes and procedures have been followed.
As a Community Safety Officer, you will present cases during court proceedings and attend relevant multi-agency meetings to present case updates. You will use a broad range of approaches to manage complex cases through to a satisfactory conclusion.
You will take the lead on legal proceedings and tenancy enforcement issues, offering support to our wider team regarding anti-social behaviour issues. You will also build long-standing relationships with local authorities, Police Services, and all other partner agencies.
Some things we need from you:
* Experience of court applications for civil and non-rental cases, such as Anti-Social behaviour, hate crime, and fraud. You would ideally have experience of representing cases in court.
* Experience of working in housing would be desirable; however, we welcome other applicants who have a commitment and passion for social housing.
* This role will be well suited to someone with experience of working closely with third-party agencies to tackle complex issues.
* We are looking for someone who has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
* This role involves some travel across the Midlands. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations are essential.
* This role will require a basic DBS check.
Some of our great benefits include:
* Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave.
* Family-friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental, and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave.
* Medicash membership for all employees, which includes access to an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership, and exclusive discounts.
* Health Cash Plan worth up to £1700 p/a with cashback for dental, optical, physio, and complementary therapies and more.
* Pension scheme with minimum employee contributions of up to 3% and Platform will contribute up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions).
* Learning and Development opportunities.
* Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme.
* Employee reward and recognition scheme with wellbeing hub and discounts from a wide range of retailers.
