The successful candidate will be expected to manage all invoices on the relevant information management system to ensure correct financial funding is in place for service users in receipt of funding.
Check all invoices on the relevant information management system ensuring that queries or errors are resolved with the providers in a timely manner.
Provide reconciliation of provider statements highlighting any ongoing issues with providers when required.
Assist in the maintenance of patient records for newly approved cases and existing cases to ensure care package changes are amended within the database in a timely manner.
To provide, on request, a departmental update regarding invoices outstanding and reason for hold.
Develop and maintain processes and/or propose change to current local financial/administrative practices and procedures in own area of work.
Resolve day-to-day problems independently, using own judgement and analysis of the situation to come to a decision where there are several options or solutions available.
Assist with the completion of Direct Payment audits for patients in receipt of a Personal Health Budget. This includes communicating with Direct Payment Holders to gather audit information.
Deliver any delegated responsibility in accordance with financial rules. Monitoring, checking, coding, and approving invoices in line with current financial policies and procedures.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ 4 level in relevant subject/Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or an equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
* Experience of secretarial and clerical systems
* Evidence of client facing experience (in an NHS setting or equivalent)
* Experience of using Continuing Care information management systems

* Computer literate with an ability to use the required systems/office packages
* Has attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily
* Has a planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise their own workload in order to meet strict deadlines
