About the role BDP is looking for an experienced Bid and Submission Coordinator to work within its progressive marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing bid submissions and providing general business development and marketing support. A varied position, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to build winning bids, support the studio and marketing function, and engage with leadership and communications teams. This will involve managing bids, preparing submission documents in InDesign, developing regional and sector marketing material, and assisting at events. Working as part of a successful work-winning team, you will be organized and methodical with strong writing and interpersonal skills. Experience in the design or construction industry is ideal, with essential experience in leading and submitting quality tender submissions. Flexible and hybrid working is available. Tasks: Manage the bid process, programme and documentation, communicating with teams about requirements and deadlines. Produce, format, and upload bid and submission documents with the wider Marketing team and designated Directors. Read, understand, and disseminate key bid deliverables. Manage input and content in BDP’s Marketing Information Systems, maintaining marketing information including contacts and project descriptions. Liaise with regional marketing and central communications teams regarding new projects and project page updates, supplying content for websites and newsletters. Prepare awards submissions and assist with brochures and presentations. Conduct bespoke sector or service line research for business development. Ensure communication initiatives align with BDP’s brand standards. Assist with organizing sector/studio events, representing BDP positively to clients and consultants. Provide support to other Regional Marketing team members as needed. Skills: Experience of bidding with an understanding of tender documents and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, especially in written English. Organized and methodical approach. Ability to compile, format, and proofread submission documents. Strong graphic design skills, including knowledge of InDesign. Willingness to learn and use BDP’s Marketing Information Management systems. Service oriented with a client focus, able to build internal and external relationships. Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines. Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
