You will be site based for part of the scheme, assisting other commissioning staff, and will also have the opportunity to work in the design team and other parts of the business. You will gain a rounded view of how a modern construction company works hand-in-hand with our client - in this case Scottish Water - to ensure that customers receive the highest quality drinking water and that the environment is protected from harm from wastewater. Working closely with all disciplines on site, seeing how they all contribute to improving drinking water quality or better protecting the environment Site based role carrying out the testing of new equipment and optimisation of water treatment processes May mean travelling away from home each week but working in varied and exciting locations around the region Includes a placement in design office and other parts of the business Suitable for chemical, mechanical or electrical engineers You will be required to travel to different sites around Scotland, from The Hebrides to Dumfries, but will also spend blocks of time in our Stepps or Inverness offices. To do this, you will be provided with a vehicle and accommodation wherever you are based at the time. In addition, you will have a mentor for the duration of the graduate scheme as well as commissioning personnel on each site from whom you will learn what commissioning is and how it works. Have achieved or on track to achieve your degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Able to spend time away from home, travelling to sites around the region. Eligible to work in the UK Unfortunately, this role does not meet the minimum salary requirements for sponsorship on this role Have the ability to travel to the office and sites (some of our sites are difficult to access through public transport) Meaning a full UK driving licence would be preferred.
