Project Manager Norwich An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business. What you will be doing: The position of Project Manager requires a communicative, enthusiastic & skilled individual to work with stakeholders to deliver a diverse portfolio of projects, facilitating key project success criteria inclusive of contractual, legislative & business targets. Based on the NEC3 contract (or an internally approved variant) assume project leadership for assigned projects. The implementation of Project Charters, which alongside the management thereof, ensure that projects fully satisfy all customer, Company, contractual, commercial and regulatory / legislative standards and objectives. Planning and scope definition, including the definition of all associated standards and targets / Key Measures of Performance. Time and cost estimation, budget management and reporting. Activity planning and sequencing, inclusive of quality planning, risk planning and time planning (with the use of Microsoft Project Gantt chart scheduling). Strong and effective communication and liaison (using various written and verbal formats) with stakeholders (including the client and delivery partners) in order to resource plan and to fulfil all commitments and meet all targets. Understanding key project milestone criteria and associated payment criteria thereof for invoice application, supplemented by documentation evidence. Communicate effectively as the focal point for all stakeholders, possessing strong interpersonal communication skills to interact professionally and purposefully with internal and external personnel. Managing a diverse and broad portfolio of projects, deliver assigned projects on time and to cost. Develop inhouse knowledge of products and processes, embedding within the process and procedural frameworks to inform decision making and contribute toward developments. Champion internal process development, identifying and removing waste / non-value-added activities. Provide direction to internal project stakeholders as a champion for project needs, ensuring key success criteria is being met and customer service maintains at a high-level. Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Business Assurance Standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record keeping and procedures. Attend customer’s sites whenever required, upholding the Company’s Culture and Values. Lead excellent working practices, including: About you: At least 2 years previous professional experience of Project Management or Project Engineering. Strong electrical and/or mechanical design skills. Demonstrable commercial awareness within a Project-related environment. Engineering technical background. 5 years’ Project Management or Project Engineering experience. Knowledge and experience of the UK Municipal Water Sector. Familiar with the NEC3 suite of contracts. Project Management training such as Prince II/APM.
