A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join the staff of one of its outstanding schools in Ellesmere Port. Role Summary:
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils, providing support in the classroom to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a long-term role, initially offered on a fixed-term contract of one year, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and school needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Support individual and small groups of pupils to enhance their learning and development.
* Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
* Support the teacher in maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and behavior.
* Promote the school’s values and ethos within the classroom and beyond.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. A Level 3 qualification is desirable.
* Experience: Prior experience working with primary-aged children in a classroom setting is essential.
* Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
o A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning needs.
o Competence in behavior management strategies and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
* Commitment: A genuine passion for education and a dedication to supporting children’s development.
* Safeguarding: An enhanced DBS check is mandatory. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the Trust’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
