An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our team. We are an Adult Learning Disability Community Service within Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust and based in Rotherham.
The service provides a high-quality person-centred service for people with learning disabilities across the full spectrum who may also experience comorbid mental health difficulties, distress behaviour and/or autism. The service offers a full multidisciplinary approach and this post will be integral to the team.
This post will offer a varied experience that will provide robust continuing professional development through clinical supervision, reflective practice, and training opportunities.
The successful applicant will be required to work in the multi-disciplinary team providing a range of assessment and intervention work through established and well-governed clinical pathways. A key part of the role will be supporting and embedding formulation within the service and supporting colleagues to understand and use formulation to effectively plan clinical interventions.
Suitable candidates should be HCPC registered (or eligible for) and have a determination to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families. Prior experience in working with people with learning disabilities and their families is essential. Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with this clinical group is essential.
Main duties of the job
1. To carry out robust psychological assessments and interventions with people across the learning disability spectrum and across all settings.
2. To work as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
3. The successful applicant will be managed by and offered clinical supervision from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the service.

Qualifications
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
* HCPC registered practitioner psychologist
* Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
* Continued professional development through structured self-study, specialist clinical supervision, and/or relevant combination of short courses
