Hays is currently representing a medium-sized Design & Buildpany to assist in the recruitment of a Site manager to ensure the successful buildpletion of projects, protecting the exposure of thepany to financial construction risks, together with adherence to themercial procedures of the business. Responsible for themercial management of several smaller projects with a value of £ Our client is involved mainly with the refurbishment ofmercial properties and developing them into state-of-the-art flats, offices, or student amodation. The job role of a site manager involves the following duties:
1. Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
2. Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors.
3. Buying materials for each phase of the project
4. Monitoring build costs and project progress
5. Conducting quality and safety inspections
6. Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings
7. Maintaining quality control checks
8. Motivating the workforce
9. Day to day problem-solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
10. Using specialist project managementputer programmes
11. Working on-site in all weathers, at clients’ businesses or in an office.
12. Checklists and Work Allocation Lists are Planned andpleted for any properties under renovation.
13. Ensuring property works lists arepleted in accordance withpany standards and a smooth handover process.
14. Budgeting and Planning for property work
15. Pre-Renovation Planning and Property Inspections are done according to standards.
16. Ensuringpliance and health and safety procedures are followed.
17. Management and tracking of Building Operations Stock
18. Overseeing Building Operations and Maintenance Manuals
19. Ensuring key targets, budgets and timescales are adhered to.
20. Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to.
Key skills• Sound &prehensive understanding of the construction industry and the parties to it.• Proficient knowledge of measurement and valuation.• Proficient in reading drawings, specifications, and knowledge of the construction process.• Ability to negotiate with clients/subcontractors.• Experience of undertaking risk assessments and valuation of them in conjunction with other project team members.Requirements:

23. SMSTS Qualification
