NFU Mutual offers a wide range of products and services, including general insurance, life, pensions and investments, and has been providing quality insurance for its customers for over 110 years. We carefully balance delivering excellent service to our customers whilst ensuring the business is run effectively. As a mutual, supporting our customers and paying their claims comes first. We are a top ten UK insurance company and the UK's largest rural insurer, with an agency network of over 250 local offices.
About the Agency:
As a local agency of NFU Mutual, we deliver a first-class service and sell their product range across our region, to customers old and new, who are at the core of everything we do. We are a business where honesty, integrity, and trust are at the heart of our values. We champion the personal approach to customer service that NFU Mutual is famous for.
About the role:
As a Commercial Account Handler within our team, you will play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring the office runs smoothly and that our customers are always satisfied. You will deal with policy amendments, sales, and claims for our customers and build long-lasting relationships. Above all, you will relish the challenge of being part of a truly client-focused, ambitious team. You'll also have plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills to ensure you sell professionally and compliantly. Always delivering a consistently good experience to customers, you'll meet the requirements and standards of NFUM, the T&C scheme (training and competency), and our regulators. This role falls under the Insurance Distribution Directive, meaning there is a requirement for Continuous Professional Development in role, in addition to ongoing screening checks once in post.
About you:
Patient and reassuring, you always go at the customers' pace, making them feel comfortable whether you're discussing a policy renewal, answering general queries, or looking at new insurance opportunities. Enthusiastic, willing to learn, and open to new ideas, you bring an approachable style to building relationships with customers and colleagues alike. It is also essential that you have the following:
* Experience in customer service - flexible on industry but great if you have banking, financial services, or farming background.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational & administrative skills.
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs 9-5, or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Our commitment to you:
You can expect full training in a professional, hardworking, friendly, and supportive environment. We encourage and support development and progression within our team, and the opportunity to complete funded Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications is a possibility.
Benefits:
* Company pension
* Healthcare cash plan after qualifying period of service.
