An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor or Barrister to join the University of Nottingham’s Legal Services team. Legal Services provides legal advice and representation to the University via its academic faculties and central and professional service departments, on a wide range of legal matters. Legal Services is part of the Registrar’s Department and is a small, busy and supportive team.
You will be a qualified lawyer from either a private practice or public sector background, who values working in-house within a collegiate and forward-thinking environment.
You will need the ability to work well independently, together with the other commercial lawyers, and as part of the wider team. We are seeking a candidate who is motivated to deliver legal services in a time-responsive, pragmatic, approachable and professional manner. You will need to have strong drafting and client care skills, demonstrable knowledge of commercial legal issues and have the ability to pick up complimentary and non-contentious areas of legal practice with minimal supervision.
