Property Manager – Oxford, OX1
A strong, well-respected and very established Property Firm are actively seeking a personable, professional and team playing Property Manager based in Oxford, OX1. The successful Property Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of properties, therefore they must be able to manage their own workload, keep on top of any issues and prioritise jobs as necessary.
Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
1. Dealing with a property portfolio.
2. Providing a designated group of clients with property management services encompassing renewals, repairs, deposits and lettings account.
3. Dealing with enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and in line with agreed service standards.
4. Following the procedures/process maps for their areas of activities ensuring key time scales are met.
5. Investigating/resolving queries and problems. Advising/recommending course of action on property issues.
6. Maintaining and using office systems effectively and updating property files and computer databases.
7. Issuing correct documentation (letters/legal documents) to relevant parties in a timely manner.
8. Liaising with third party suppliers to arrange works to be undertaken.
9. Developing and building strong relationships with key clients and treating them as individuals.
10. Liaising/negotiating between Landlords and Tenants.
11. Ensuring that all relevant people are kept informed and up to date with progress particularly in relation to client issues/complaints. Managing expectations and ensuring you follow up all queries.
12. Advising the branch promptly of issues that arise and keeping them up to date with all relevant issues.
13. Taking appropriate action to pre-empt complaints. Taking appropriate action to investigate and resolve complaints.
14. Promoting additional services and meeting third party referral targets.
15. Complying with lettings administrative procedures and all relevant legislation, Codes of Conduct and Practice and Due Diligence procedures.
16. Developing and applying an understanding of legal requirements.
17. Seeking to continuously streamline and improve current processes and procedures. Actively taking on feedback from clients.
The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:
1. Must be able to hit the ground running so a minimum of 3 years property management experience as a Property Manager is essential for this role.
2. It is highly desirable that candidates have intermediate computer literacy.
3. Experience of lettings/property management software packages.
4. ARLA Qualified would be an advantage.
5. Be able to manage their own workload.
6. Own car for inspections.
The hours will be: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm, with one in ten Saturdays; however, overtime is paid for this.
Salary range will be: £26,000 to £35,000.
