Job overview
The post holder will provide high quality and proactive executive assistance to the Chief Executive and his/her deputy. They will be required to be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative, anticipating the organisational needs of the Chief Executive and team, directing their own work, and delivering reliably and accurately within deadlines.
The post holder will contribute towards high standards of corporate governance at Whipps Cross Hospital through the provision of a full range of secretarial services to key Hospital Boards and Committees, coordination and administration of policy development processes, and assisting with the implementation of the Trust Governance arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team providing professional administrative support, resolving day-to-day problems independently, acting as a source of advice and guidance, and being the first point of contact for enquiries.
Main duties of the job
The post of Executive Business Support to Whipps Cross Executive Directors is key to managing the department effectively in a professional manner.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
* • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience.
* • Experience of working with Directors as an assistant, preferably within an acute trust environment.
* • Evidence of continuing professional development.
* • Must have an understanding of the background to the NHS and appreciate the implications of this for this role.
* • Understand the relationships and matrix of the Barts Health Group, stakeholders, individual provider and commissioning organisations.
