We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer - with Electrical Bias to join the friendly team at our Ashby site which is home to iconic KP brands such as Hula Hoops, Skips, Nik Naks and Space Raiders.
You’ll be an integral member of the Engineering function providing a comprehensive electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to safely sustain and improve production operating efficiencies in line with the continued growth of the business.
As a Multi- Skilled Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Repairing and maintaining production and ancillary equipment, property and facilities ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and in line with the requirements of the production process and plan
Creating PPM schedules, maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing data entry records within appropriate timescales
Acting as host for Contractors working on site ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and completed and that safe working practices are agreed prior to commencement of work
Responding to requests from production and Maintenance Leads for engineering assistance, monitoring visual management boards to ensure priority items are dealt with
Ability to quickly identify problems, perform root cause analysis to stop repeat failures
Following policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards
Playing an active part in food safety and health and safety, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe working practices are always followed
