Senior Systems Safety Engineer
Bristol
Paying up to £70,000 (DOE)
Responsibilities:
1. Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle: from requirements analysis (including bids and contracting); through design, development; to system integration, acceptance testing, delivery and in-service support.
2. Undertake complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis.
3. Complete safety requirements capture and management, hazard identification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the ALARP principle, creation/maintenance of safety documentation and continuous improvement of the safety management system.
4. Support Hazard Identification and Analysis studies.
5. Document and present the outcomes of safety analysis to stakeholders & Clients.
Experience required:
1. Experience across a number of safety engineering lifecycle phases.
2. An understanding of 'Safety and Systems Engineering' and of the 'Engineering Life Cycle Management.'
3. Experience having worked as a Safety engineer on defence projects; ideally Submarine related.
4. Must be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance.
5. Previous experience using MATLAB and Enterprise Architect.
