SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST
Rate: up to £600 per day (PAYE, including holiday pay)
Location: London (hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office, 3 days WFH)
Contract length: 6-months
Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role will be of interest to a qualified accountant with significant post-qualified experience in business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting and third-party contract management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference by engaging with a variety of stakeholders at a senior level. What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s Operations, Legal Division, Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance Oversight. Your responsibilities will include providing finance business partnering to various divisions, preparing financial management information for strategic decision making, highlighting risks and opportunities, leading on financial and data analysis, acting as the control point for divisional spend and recruitment, and leading improvements in resource management practices.
* Provide Finance Business Partnering to the Divisions (at Director and HoD level) and subdivisions, covering the financial performance of the business areas.
* Prepare and provide financial management information to provide insight for strategic decision making and forward planning.
* Highlight risks and opportunities to support ED, Directors and HoDs to manage the financial position within the budget envelopes for each area.
* Lead on providing financial and data analysis and insight.
* Act as the control point for the Division’s spend and recruitment in line with the delegated budget.
* Lead in improvements in resource management practices across the Division and provide expertise to senior level stakeholders.
What you bring:
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you bring proven experience in a specific technical area or skill. You are a qualified accountant with strong business partnering skills. You have strong excel and financial modelling skills with proficiency in process improvement. You are experienced in forming effective working relationships with peers, management, and stakeholders across the organisation. You have an ability to assess and analyse voluminous data-heavy bodies of information.
* Qualified accountant – 3-5 years PQE
* Strong business partnering skills with ability to present financial MI on a regular basis to senior stakeholders
* Strong excel and financial modelling skills (Scenario Analysis)
* Proficient in process improvement and developing dashboards to visualise financial analysis
* Experienced in forming and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, management, and stakeholders across the organisation
* Ability to assess and analyse voluminous data-heavy bodies of information
