We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Technical Operator to join their production team in Bradford. Reporting to the Production Director, this role plays a key part in operating and maintaining F&K and Gerber cutting machines and contributing to the efficient production of their industry-leading products.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain F&K and Gerber cutting machines and provide support to production when necessary, including during high-demand periods or staff absences.
Perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and inspections to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Maintain a tidy and hazard-free workspace while adhering to all health and safety standards.
Collaborate with the production team to enhance product quality, improve cost efficiency, and meet key performance targets.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to uphold high production standards.
Work in alignment with ISO procedures to ensure consistent quality across all operations.
Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and future plans.
What We're Looking For: We're seeking a candidate with:
A background in the production of medical devices (preferred).
Hands-on experience with Material Cutting CNC machines, particularly Gerber or Assyst Bullmer (highly advantageous).
Familiarity with Foam Conversion Equipment (F&K) and Band Knife operations.
Qualifications or experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
Strong verbal communication skills, adaptability, and a positive, energetic approach to work.
A collaborative mindset with experience working in a busy team environment.
Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
