Thalia Waste Management, a leader in innovative waste-to-energy solutions, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Treatment Plant Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role supports our Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of our Mechanical Treatment (MT) plant and tipping hall, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Location: Isle of Wight Waste Recovery Park
* Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour
* Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00
Role Responsibilities
* Uphold the highest standards of health & safety, promptly addressing and reporting any concerns to maintain our commitment to a zero-incident workplace.
* Effective and consistent recovery of target materials from sorting conveyors in line with performance targets.
* Monitoring material streams on the sorting conveyors to ensure they are in line with expectation and where quality is lower than anticipated, the issue is reported to Lead Supervisor.
* Maintaining clean and safe operating area and ensuring high standards of housekeeping are adhered to.
* Effective management of tools and equipment relating to MT operations and associated cleaning tasks.
* Communicating with Lead Supervisor to ensure effective management of material blockages and mechanical / operational issues.
