About Us
We’re a lean, ambitious startup founded by two driven individuals who are hungry to build the next big name in the furniture world. Forget the corporate layers and red tape—we’re all about rolling up our sleeves, adapting to challenges, and making things happen. Whether it’s lifting tables, working in a cold warehouse, or analysing numbers, we do what’s necessary to grow and succeed.
If you’re ready to step outside the ordinary and join a team where your input directly shapes the future of the company, read on.
The Role
As our Buyer, you won’t just be sitting behind a desk—you’ll be an integral part of our operations. You’ll combine data analysis, forecasting, and proactive problem-solving to ensure we always have the right products at the right time. But beyond that, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day hustle of running a fast-growing company.
What You’ll Do:
1. Own the demand forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely predictions of sales, orders, and stock needs.
2. Collaborate with product development and purchasing teams to plan launches and new product rollouts.
3. Manage stock levels to optimize availability while minimizing excess inventory.
4. Track supplier performance, lead times, and any potential disruptions.
5. Analyze key performance metrics and continuously improve demand planning accuracy.
6. Jump in wherever needed—whether that means helping organize deliveries or lending a hand during busy periods.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience: Previous experience as a Buyer, Demand Planner, Merchandiser, or in a related role (ideally in a product-based company).
2. Analytical Mindset: You love diving into data, spotting trends, and making informed decisions.
3. Excel & Systems Skills: Advanced Excel knowledge is a must, and any experience with inventory or demand planning software is a plus.
4. Problem Solver: You’re quick on your feet and always looking for ways to improve processes.
5. Team Player: You’re ready to get your hands dirty and collaborate with a close-knit team.
6. Adaptable: You thrive in dynamic environments where priorities shift quickly.
Why Join Us?
1. Autonomy: We believe in giving you the freedom to own your work and make decisions.
2. Impact: Be part of something from the ground up. Your ideas and efforts will directly shape the future of our company.
3. Growth: As we scale, so do your opportunities. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to grow your career with us.
4. No Red Tape: We move fast, experiment, and adapt without the bureaucracy.
5. Camaraderie: Join a team that works hard, supports each other, and celebrates wins together.
The Challenges
We’re not going to sugarcoat it—working in a startup comes with its challenges. There will be long days, unexpected tasks, and times when you’re working in less-than-ideal conditions. But if you’re up for the challenge, you’ll be rewarded with experiences, growth, and the chance to build something meaningful.
What We Offer:
1. A real chance to grow with the company and take on more responsibility
2. Employee discounts on our products
3. Flexible working environment
4. Opportunity to work closely with the founders
