The role is to lead the population of the UK Cost Engineering Database with normalised and cleaned NRC and RC data from the reviews associated with Weapon Systems and Munitions.
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The successful candidate will need to understand and categorise different system elements in a consistent, transparent way to allow valid comparisons and support to estimating. The role owner cannot be an expert on all topics from day one but is expected to build up an international network of subject-matter experts for support as required.
Responsibilities include providing support to the Cost Engineering function in the analysis of business costs, categorisation, and recording within the Cost Engineering database. The role will work alongside the Cost Estimating managers on the estimation and analysis of all NRC costs related to the Concept/Assessment/Development/Support of Weapon Systems, UK Air Platform Integration, and munitions. More specifically, the candidate will:
* Support the establishment of the Cost Target brochure
* Contribute to the definition of the offer cost base
* Support the implementation of Design for Competitiveness approach in bid preparation and continue support throughout the project life cycle
* Support the creation, calibration, and use of cost model
What we're looking for from you:
* Experience in the Production and Engineering Areas dealing with Weapon System platforms (Maritime or Air) or Missiles.
* Beneficial to have experience in the use of the company's engineering and management tools (SAP, P6, DRM, MATRIX).
* Proven understanding and experience of improving the Cost Estimating credibility of the business.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel to manage varying volumes of cost data is required.
