Are you ready to lead a vital service that directly impacts the environment and community? We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Waste Services Manager to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and lead transformational changes in waste services across the District of South Holland.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we plan and implement the requirements of the Environment Act 2021, including the introduction of food waste collections across the District by March 2026, a key Government mandate. You’ll be at the forefront of improving recycling rates and driving environmental performance, ensuring our services meet the evolving needs of the community.
Your role will include:
Managing the effective delivery of refuse, recycling, garden waste, and new food waste collection services.
Managing waste services and fleet maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement.
Leading on health and safety compliance, creating a safe and supportive workplace for your team.
Managing revenue and capital budgets efficiently to deliver cost-effective services.
Driving collaboration across the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership, identifying opportunities to share resources and expertise.
Embracing new technology to optimize processes and deliver innovative solutions.
Developing a performance-led culture that motivates and supports your team to achieve their best.
What you’ll bring to the team:
Proven experience in leading and managing waste services, with a strong understanding of legislation and policy.
A track record of managing the health, safety, and welfare of employees.
Excellent budget management, ICT, and data analysis skills.
A full Category B Driving Licence.
A passion for delivering exceptional public services and improving environmental outcomes.

ABOUT US: Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. The largest Council Partnership in the country.
