UK Business Events is a leading publishing and events company based in Manchester. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team and grow the revenues across our industry renowned brand for the digital construction sector, Build in Digital.
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across the Build in Digital portfolio. You will work closely with the marketing, editorial, and events teams to create commercial opportunities that align with our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for growth.
* Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies to generate new leads and convert them into long-term partnerships and clients.
* Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including editorial & marketing colleagues, sponsors, partners.
* Sales Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, including identifying new revenue streams.
* Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals and pitches to potential clients and partners.
* CRM Management: Proficient in using CRM software such as HubSpot to develop sales opportunities and manage pipeline.
* Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and generate new business leads.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree preferable but not essential.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in B2B sales, preferably within the publishing or events industry.
* Ability to demo value proposition confidently by utilising video conference software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
* Strong understanding of the publishing landscape and event management processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
